I hadn't seen anything posted about this but maybe someone has an idea of how to use a gov't grant to run a hatchery or some fishy project.

Grants Available for Fish and Fishing Projects

PORTLAND - The Fish Restoration and Enhancement Program is currently accepting grant applications from groups seeking funding for projects that benefit recreational and/or commercial fishing in
Oregon. The application deadline is Aug. 15.

Any non-profit public or private organization is eligible to apply. The R&E Program is especially interested in projects that create or improve fishing access, provide fish rearing programs for harvest or
rehabilitation of wild fish populations, improve hatchery practices, restore or enhance habitat that directly benefits fish, study or monitor fish populations, or produce literature or programs that educate the
public about fish and fishing.

To request an application packet, contact Cristy Mosset at (503) 872-5252, ext. 5427. The Fish Restoration and Enhancement Program Board will review applications at its Oct. 18 meeting. Final grant
approval will be given by the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission.

The Fish Restoration and Enhancement Program was created by the Oregon Legislature in 1989 and is funded by a surcharge on sport and commercial fishing licenses and commercial poundage fees. The
program is overseen by a seven-member citizen board that reviews proposals and recommends funding for fish restoration and enhancement projects throughout the state.
