Where would you like ifishstock to be if it is in September?

That's archery season, weekends are precious.
There will always be a conflict with something, oh well.

I ran into that last year too. :depressed:

I'd love to have it in October, but the weather is too yucky for camping, very often.

Motel it? Party at the park?

I dunno.... It looks like the majority want to keep it in Tillamook instead of Fort Stevens/Buoy 10 area.

I guess people can drive down like we do, to fish the Columbia if they prefer.

Anything will work. I just think its a good idea to be able to meet some people from ifish. Set a date and place and I will try my best to be there. Archery season, rifle season, or anything could conflict. It might not work out for some people, but you can't make everybody happy. Just set it up so that I can mark it on my calendar. I trust your judgement Jennie.

Friday night or Saturday night?
So far, I'm saying September 15th.
Could be the 14th, though....

Fri or Sat?

Yikes.

This is always so scary. I'm going to get a ton of, "OH! I can't make it! Change it!"

If I get enough of them, I will change it.

I think Saturday the 14th. Yup yup yup.

Jen,have it on Sat. to keep other commitments down to a minimum(church n late nite stuff).Nehalem hogs will be in high gear on the 15th.Tilla will be going too(lest we mention a little rain and cohos on the NF will be going bonkers). That would be my 2 cents worth but I went to fishermans today and that new 2nd mortgage form only took a few minutes to process.....Now I have enough gear for at least 2 trips. Then I will need more.Prob is I don't have 2 cents cause allowance went to the fms fund).
To be continued.
Thank you for everything you do for us Jen.
Mark.

Anyone notice, although 6 voters have voted, it shows that 0 people have voted???

NEVER MIND!

It just has a lag time before the server catches up. It's showing now!

Jen: Tillamook Anglers sure would like to attend the party, even offered to host it at Whiskey Creek. Lots of parking. One small problem. Sep. 14TH is the 11Th annual Fishing day for kids with disailities, at Whiskey Creek. Sure hope all ifishers show up to help. We get 3to4hundred kids. Lots of nice rainbow trout, lots of good food, and lots of SMILES!!! Jerry

JERRY!
Uh oh.

OK, it's not the 14th.
Or- This could be the 14th. We could help with that, and then bbq, then fish on Sunday?
Could be....

Jerry, awfully nice of you to donate the area, but I really don't think you could handle the parking of all those boats. Do you?

The poll shows that Kilchis River Park is the preferred choice.
I can't reserve the park for the 7th of September though, it's taken.
The tides are better on the 7th though.
The Tillamook Anglers have their disabled kids fishery on the 14th.

Why couldn't we still have our bbq on the night of the 14th? Those wanting to help with Tillamook Anglers are still able to!

If you want to fish, fish on Sunday!
Our bbq is never until afternoon, and into the night. You have a choice of helping with the Tillamook Anglers, or fishing on Saturday. Then, coming to the bbq and camping at the park!
I think that will work out fine!
In fact, it would be better than making two consecutive trips to the coast.
I have an offer from kingboathead to roast a pig for us! Also, other offers to help cook/arrange party details.
It's lookin good!

I'm getting excited!
If we roast a pig, do you have to see it's face and ears and stuff?
That's yicky!
Piggy go round and round? Does it have a name?
Do people eat pig faces?
I know my dog enjoys the ears... Hm.

Anyway, I'm going to reserve the park, you guys... This is a big move! YIKES!
There is a big area, not covered, for picnics... It's ours the night of the 14th unless someone reserved it since two days ago.
I'll call!

Overflow parking, and 15 or so self contained campers can stay at our house, if you prefer, in the field.
We are 1/2 mile from the park, so it'll be handy.
We have running water for you, and if enough people need to stay here, we can get a porta potty.

Gotta be careful roasting a whole pig. If the insides don't get up to temp in a certain amount of time, it can breed bacteria. It can be done safely, but you have to be careful.
