Going to be taking advantage of my newly founded "free time" and go sit in my boat for awhile. I've got room for one or two. I can either meet you at Camas or pick you up at Chinook landing. PM me or post up quick like. Going to be leaving in the next hour.

Well the steelies did not want to come out to play, but we had a great time. It was a pleasure to meet diftboater and baitboy, you are both class acts and welcome aboard anytime. Baitboy, you should consider changing your name to deckhand as you do a good job at that too.

We saw nothing caught between 1130 and 400. Heard of two earlier. We were off the upper end of Gov't island in 24 feet of H2O. Tried 'small' chartruese spinner (yeah right Birdhunter) , wiggle warts and flatfish. All a no go.

Maybe next time.

thanks for the invite... As always meeting new folks can make for a fun day on the water.

I got to meet some more today and as of yet I can't say I've met any really strange folks off the board. My wife worries when I go out with someone off the board that I haven't gone with before that I'll be fishing with joe the axe murderer or something but I have yet to meet him.... Just some really good folks that like to fish as much as I do. Heck we even know some of the same folks and probably missed each other by days doing our differant activities.

Thaks for the ride, maybe next time I'll bring my boat up.

As for the deckhand thing( it takes years of practice) you'll have one that lives with you in a couple of years in that boy of yours... good kid

Lured In,

Sorry you guys didn't find any steelhead this afternoon. The small chartruese spinners are legitimate. I've got the pics to prove it, just need to scan them in. I use them a lot and consistently catch fish with them. As I'm sure you know location, depth, tide, time of day and temperature play a huge role in where you catch fish on the Columbia. Look around, they are definately out there. The counts were over 6k today. Good luck to you all.

Hey Lured In,

Thanks again for the invite. I had a great time despite no fish in the boat. What a great day to be on the river. It's always great to meet up with a few Ifishers who want to share a ride. We'll take the DB out sometime this winter. Talk to you soon re Aug. 1. It was a good crew, nice to meet you guys.
