View Full Version : I must like punishment... Women in Waders!

I know, I know, and you don't need to say it!
Some people don't want to see The Women in Waders (http://www.womeninwaders.com) Calendar on ifish.
I know that, and I respect that. There is no need to voice your disaproval.
I have made the choice to run these contests again, after speaking with Mel at Women in Waders. She is a very nice gal, and I like her.
They are in the mail, and soon I will do some ready sets, for the 2003 Calendar. Those that are interested, play! By all means!
Those that are not interested, just don't click on it!
They really are not that risque... They are tastefully done, professional photographs of beautiful women, fishing.
There you have it! It was a tough decision, but yes, I'm playin!

My wife loves the outdoors and we really enjoy going fishing together. I know she is truly heaven sent, and I'm very lucky for her as my wife. She bought me one of the Women in Waders Calenders for X-Mas.
I have bought the calender for son for Christmas. Yes, they are beautiful women, but they are not fishing, they are posing. Please don't consider them true anglers. I would love to win a calender for my son, but don't have enough time to spend on the internet. Tight lines, RW.

Jennie,
Most of the girls do fish. Of course we are posing in the photos, we
are making a calendar! It is usually WAY too cold to fish in a bikini
when we do the shots. It was only 30 degrees for my last photo shoot.

I said, "OK, then I'll give one to my pastor!"
I'm going to do it! I think he'd get a good laugh out of it!

Dove, you are just a dirty old man!!! And I will love you always...... I sometimes miss working with you in the good old days. Tell your beautiful wife I say hi. O.K.
Hook, you don't have a clue do you? I don't have a problem with good looking people, men or women as you may recall. I just like to call a spade a spade, yes OK they may fish once a year or so, but they don't fish like Jen and I do. It is strickly a calender with models posing as fisherwomen. I don't have a problem with it and never will.
No cat fight here, I bet you wanted to watch though!!!!!!!

I have to object. Not because these gals don't fish (which they do) but rather, "Women in Waders" are not women in waders. They're all wearing HIP-BOOTS!! Either put'em in waders (calendar sales will plummit) or call them "Women in Hip Boots" (not as catchy)......
But who's looking at their footware anyway?
ummm....is that an oversized taken out of the water and into the boat?? Is it dead?? Commercial or sport caught?? hmmm
Jim
Jennie@ifish

Jennie,
That is an oversize but it was taken out of the water by the WDFW
RESEARCH BOAT after I caught it. They tagged it and took my photo.

"Reel Women!"
Oops! That's a book title.... Well, we could think of something!
Women in Reel Action?
All we need is 12 women that "REELY" Fish!
No swimsuits for me though, k? I'll go in full neoprenes, thanks.

******,
That would get my vote also!! What a great picture!!! I would buy a calendar with pictures like that but I won't with some exploited woman posing like she really fishes as WIW does..but hey thats my opinion and it doesn't count :hoboy:
I have more questions regarding the above sturgeon....did Mel catch it or was she just along for the ride? Is the fish dead or alive? Are the people looking in on a dock, land or another boat? Who do I contact with WDFW or ODFW on oversized research. Lots of questions I know but thats why they pay me the big bucks! hehe

a calendar of fishermen??????
most of the fisherman i know you would not want pictures of. fat/bald/and plumbers crack
but if you did you could call it the 12 months of crack. or say no to crack
some of the fisherman i have seen might need 2 months to get all of the picture in.
Women are much better..in waders, hip boots or clothes.
if you still want to do the calender i will be your mr july...hot, sweety,sticky,fat,hairy,bald,g-string,hip boot wairing .stud muffin

Jim: I have some of the answers your looking for. In the spring WDFW helps a researcher with her work to determine a non-invasive way to tell sex and stage of maturity of oversized sturgeon. She is using mucous and urine. We used to have to make a incision to determine the sex and stage of maturity and sew the fish back up. She also used blood to measure hormone levels but it is not a perfect solution. Anyway, back to the fish. Guides, and I believe also some anglers would hand off the fish to WDFW and Molly to work up on the boat. The fish is brought onboard through the dive door that you see in the lower left corner of the picture. The door is at water level so the fish can be slid carefully into the boat and not picked up which will cause strain in the abdominal cavity. The green garden hose that you see at the fishes head supplies river water through the mouth to irrigate the gills while the fish is out of the water. Samples are taken quickly and the fish is returned to the water.
I am guessing that Mel did indeed catch the fish as they were using angler caught fish. The fish is alive and was returned to the water. The people looking over the gunwale are probably standing in the boat that caught the fish.
I don't know if Molly will be doing any more work next spring.

Yeeeeeeeeeesh!
Delete? I'd like to......... That's ICKY.
:hoboy:
I see two, at least, possible reasons to delete his message. According to the ifish user policy:
Profanity. A wide variety of people read the Ifish bulletin board, including elementary school children. Many of us use salty language while we are out fishing, but on the Bulletin Board we don't know everyone we're speaking with. Be creative enough to get your point across without being offensive.
Inappropriately suggestive or off color comments are unacceptable. Just as with profanity, there are a wide variety of people who read the Ifish Bulletin Board.
Personal attacks. Avoid negative comments regarding individuals. We strongly discourage defamatory comments. Racial slurs will not be tolerated. Harassment will not be tolerated. You can disagree with other member's opinions, statements, etc. without resorting to personal attacks on the member involved.
Illegal statements.
Multiple monikers or user names.
<font size="2" face="verdana,arial,helv">Hmmm Personal attacks and profanity... Yip, it's a delete.

Jennie, First of all I did not name any members or attack them personally. Secondly I did not use bad words, it has a filter. Third I think the women in waders crew do an excellent job and I feel that there hard work should not be shunned by a few overly conservitive born again holyier than thou types who are probably a bunch of freeks them selves. If you don't like it don't look at it.
And Aunty M, you would have been proud of the post and how could anyone ever get mad at you.
