I talked with Bob Rees last night and he informed me that the owner of Free Willy bait and Tackle,Dave Rogers drowned trying to cross the surf in seaside. There were 3 others who did survive. They were trying to cross the surf in a zodiak. Anyway, please pray for dave's friends and family. Free Willy was a spot I think ALL gator chasers went to buy bait.

That's horrible news. I launched out of Hammond countless times over the years and have spoken with him a handful of times. Man what a ****** :depressed:

Ya know I read that story in the paper today and thought the name sounded familiar. I pray for his family and friends on this tragic loss.
There again is a lesson to learn here ladies and gentlemen. Personal Flotation Devices make a difference!!!!! :hoboy:  It is something that is an absolute must out there and of all things in such small inflatables too! Don't fool yourselves in this area. It is Dangerous at best on good days.
