Ok, I have been too busy with Mid-Terms to post my report, but here goes. Fished Olallie last weekend, all day Sat and most of Sunday. I caught a lot of nice trout but not any of the big boys that are there. The large trout were rolling all around us and I saw several that were caught in the 6 - 8 pound range. I heard of a 15# fish but did not see it. I did watch a guy land a fish that was 32 inches and weighed in just a smidge over 10 pounds. The area was packed so there was not much room to set up a camp. I ended up camping up at Brightenbush Lake and pretty much had the place to my self. All in all it was a great weekend at the high lakes.

I live in Beaverton and the lake is right around 100 miles from home. Go up past Estacada heading past Bagby Hot Springs.

To get to Olallie lake take hwy 26 over Mt. Hood and take the Skyline Road turnoff, same turnoff as Timothy lake. Olallie lake is 30 miles off Hwy 26 southeast of Timothy lake, just follow the signs. Much better/faster drive going over Mt. Hood instead of taking hwy. 224 through Esacada. Here is their web site www.olallielake.com (http://www.olallielake.com)

One of my favorite places in Oergon, absolutely beautiful place.
