Did I have too much coffee this morning or is anyone else seeing it take longer to complete the load of a page. I am on AT&T cable and am not having problems with other sites. The response is good, but the load time is taking longer than normal...

Jennie are you out fishing....? graemlins/1zhelp.gif

I'm here... No problem on this end. It was slow for me yesterday though!

Anyone else report a prob?
I'd like to know, if so.

I have also found it pretty slow going today. Hopefully just lots of traffic?

OK here, but yesterday I had difficulty getting on a site that hubby got on right away..
I am on DSL and he's a dial up. You just never know. What gripes me is when your server says like "it's your computer" so you spend an hour trying to figure out what's wrong.

I'm not having any problems.

Nothing is slow now that I have
AT&T broadband internet service.

NWRedside? Could we just run a little cable from your T1 to my house?

Jennie,

If you can, get a cable modem. They are worth every cent they cost. I have had one for three years and wouldn't live without it. If a cable modem wasn't available I would probably pay the outrageous price for two way satellite.

It's working better now. Maybe I just had too much coffee.

I've been looking into that. I have to recover from Vegas, financially! That'll take a couple years... by then, I'll have cable!

If you are using a dialup connection (phone line), your telephone line might be getting clogged. To unclog your modem line, unplug it from your computer and the wall and blow really hard into the phone line. A bunch of gunk (stray computer bits) will likely shoot out the other end. That gunk was probably an email attachment that was too big to fit down the tiny phone wires. If nothing comes out, then reverse the phone line connection so that what was connected to the computer before is connected to the wall. The reverse flow of data should clear that clog.

Hope that helps. I'm off to the For Sale forums to list a bridge that I'm looking to sell for cheap.

(The preceeding technique should not be attempted alone, as such activity is best suited around a large group of people who can be there to enjoy your futile attempts to clear "clogged data" from your phone lines.)
