Looking to get out on the Columbia tomorrow. Looking for suggestions on where to go. Tried
Frenchmens bar on wednesday, pretty dead. Anybody had any luck off of the Cowlitz or the
Kalama? Help!

AD11, I am dying to make my first trip out on the big blue for salmon this year but I have to stay close by ( girlfriend signed me up for an early afternoon B'day party) Damn! Thanks for the clue though. Maybe next weekend. Good luck to you tomorrow.

You should mention, however that the tides look like this;
2002-07-13 03:39 PDT 8.77 feet High Tide
2002-07-13 05:36 PDT Sunrise
2002-07-13 10:43 PDT -1.39 feet Low Tide
2002-07-13 17:16 PDT 7.54 feet High Tide
2002-07-13 21:04 PDT Sunset
2002-07-13 22:52 PDT 2.20 feet Low Tide
If you go out early you would be facing a VERY LARGE Ebb and the bar may be anything but easy!
As long as you wait 'till about noon your plan would work, except why not fish for sturgeon early on the outgoing? Then around noon go get your salmon? And what is the deal on Saturday? You can catch Chinook but not Coho?
Freak, we need a Kalama update!
