Yeah, it was awesome. Odell is very beautiful and fishing was good. Took me a couple days to get dialed in without downriggers. We stayed at Shelter Cove in the campground and moored at their dock. Trapper Creek campground was also good. Trolling in the west end- water was 100- 110 ft deep. Fish very early (5am). Use 2 ounce banana sinker, gang trolls(50/50 brass silver willow leaf), red snubber, and wedding ring with 1 corn soaked in shrimp oil. 1st thing in am pink wedding ring w/brass blade and glo hook- couldn't keep them off that one, then when the sun hits the water about 7am switch to red wedding ring w/brass blade, then about 8am switch to red with silver blade. Always use corn. Started out with the 2oz. out 40 pulls gets you to the fish at 30 ft. About 9 am, the fish go deep. we went in for breakfast then, but the guys who stay out say the fish are down at 80 deep then. I did OK in he afternoons on the south end, just west of the resort in 20 ft of water trolling with small weight, gang trolls and a size 12 spin-n-glo in blue/chartruse fire tiger with a chartruse bead and small piece of worm on a #4 red hook. For some reason, that was the only lure that would work over there. Got some nice 14 inchers in that area. No one else was fishing there. Afternoon winds pick up pretty good. Let me know how you do, Just got my fish out of the smoker- mmm, kokanee!! People at Shelter Cove are 1st rate owners and campers.
