Does anyone know how to tell if it is legal to camp along the Columbia River? Is there a website that can clue a person in to areas that are permisable. I see people camped along the River but I don't want any hassels from the River patrol. :rolleyes:

I tried camping on the beach once...but got chowed by the skeeters. If you camp on the beach...take your citronella candles and lots of "Off".
If you have room in your boat...I'd recommend dropping your anchor way out of the channel, and crashing on your boat. The water lays down pretty flat after about 8 p.m.
