Place to fish for Trout this weekend?

No boat for me and the boys this weekend, the truck had to go in for brakes. So I am looking for a spot to bank it for trout, can any one tell me a spot that will most likely produce some fish. I might have to catch a few myself so I can remember what a fish on the line feels like :smile: .

Westside suggestions would be Hagg Lake or Vernonia Pond.

Eastside could be Northfork, Faraday, Timothy, Harriet, Clear...there's a lot of lakes up there.

If your just looking to catch some trout you might check the stocking schedule on the odfw web site.

If you haven't been to Lost Lake out of Hood River, you should check it out. Stunning views of Mt. Hood, trail around the whole 200 acre lake (ie., likely have a piece of bank to yourself), and they even rent rowboats and paddleboats if you wanted to get out to the middle and troll for Kokes in 150ft. They have campsites and cabins too.
Its a beautifull place and stocked with rainbows, browns, and brookies.

Olalie lake, rent one of the wood boats and row with the kids,, or make the kids row. Powerbait or black roostertails.... its a hoot..... you can also go to monon lake next to olalie and walk around to the deep section, which i think, is the north side of the lake,, killer large fish and no pressure, bank fishing is easy,,,

take your bug spray though,,,

from the bank , it`s eeeeeasy pickin`s at frog lake off highway 26 towards bend up at mt hood area ....used power bait ( green ) last weekend and just nailed em ....now if I could just catch steelhead /salmon and sturgeon like that :shocked:
