I just heard on the radio the emergency crews have been dispatched to a plane crash that they thought went in the sandy river near Troutdale???
Anybody know anything?

Looks like a Cessna 172 to me. We had a Lake amphibian go in at the airport I work on yesterday.......they both walked away too. I guess any crash you can talk about later wasn't too bad..........

In the business this is known as a "forced landing" distinguishable from a "crash" due to the fact that the airplane is still an airplane instead of a little ball of aluminum.
Carric Scott is one of the best pilots around. Very smooth and thoroughly professional. I am delighted to hear that he was not hurt. He was very cool-headed to turn and put the plane in the open marshy area rather than land short of Troutdale in the Sandy or the trees.
