Is nehalem bay open for salmon fishing if so does anyone know how they are doing? What they are using? Also where are the best crabbing area's ,are there any crabbing location maps out there for the bay? I have been looking for one but haven't had any luck as of yet any help or information on this would be greatly appreciated I am going up there next weekend.

Nehalem Bay up to Miami River-Foley Creek
RD Bridge including tidewater.
Open for fin clipped steelhead all year
Open for spring chinook Apr-Jul 31
Open for fall chinook Aug 1-Dec 31
Open for adiposed fin clipped coho from Aug 1 -Oct 31 from the jetty tips to the confluence of the North Fork of the Nehalem
Crab up in the area of the Jetty Fishery or the Brighton maina or out towards the mouth. There is a launch at both places or you can use the county ramp for free. Its at the bridge on 101.
Salmon action is more than likely pretty slow.
don't know if the crabbing is any good or not. You can call the Brighton Marina at 503-368-5745 and ask how it is.

i will be there (paridise cove) the weekend of the 28th .so if you see my big yellow northriver say hi...if your fishing stay home ..crabing is ok not great but you will have to work at them to get the hard shell.crab accross from the jetty fishery and towards the mouth.the closer to the mouth the better luck in finding the hard shell.
jetty fishery is haveing a crab turniment that weekend so it might get crowded.they say they are going to rent there boats for $50.00 for 2 hour with no extra time...ouch good thing i have a boat.
good luck, i will try not to take all of them.and if you find one with a # on it ,bring it to my boat and i will split the money with you.
