Got another KP for Sunday for fishing. Question is... Sandy hatchery, McGuyver (sp?), Oxbow....???

I am getting low on salmon, and have no steelhead...

Suggestions?

Based on the Sandy topics on the board (flowing mud), it sounds like it would not be a good bet. I don't really know about the Clack. I would think there would be plenty of salmon and steelhead in there.

Sandy is definitely a muddy option right now. :depressed: McIver definitely has springers (some are getting dark) and steelies. The entire lower river there should hold decent numbers of fish.

I was on the CLack last week, and appeared to be the only person NOT catching fish. Plenty of salmon there...but very dark in color.

Columbia is not an option unless I buy an inner-tube to paddle out in it and someone can pick me up in Astoria. :shocked: :grin:

Will probably try the Clack again and see what happens.

The clakamas is PACKED with fish right now, althogh I cannot attest to the river level or clarity. You might also try the Columbia for steelies summers are beggining to show in fair numbers.
