Heading to Netarts on Thurs 6/14 to stay thru Sunday. Lots of in-laws and tensions may run high. I was hoping to be able to sneak away for maybe a half day while they're clam digging and see if I might be able to hook a fish somewhere. Looking for somewhere to bank fish with drift gear. Any help would be appreciated.

The mouth of three rivers has been kicking out some fish.

Welcome to my world,
My girlfriends family has a place in Netarts on portland ave.
Rember fishing for steelhead or salmon is off limits in Netarts bay. I always fish the kilchis or Nestucca/3 rivers. The wilson,Tili( hospital hole) can be good options. all of these are withen easy driving distance. You may want to check with the folks at Tili bait or the guide shop and see what advise they have.

You'll want a mountain bike for this... but biking on out Bay Ocean spit and then casting off the South Jetty for whatever swims is a pleasant way to spend the afternoon. And you never know what's gonna grab the hook, from little rockfish to lings.

Just watch the sneaker waves of course if you go very far out the jetty.
