crab reports for today

Wondering if anyone crabbed tbay today and how it was. Thanks

Hit Tbay this moring at 6:30-12:00 with 5 pots and fresh shad, pulled them all five times to get 22. All seemed hard, but when out of the cooker they did not produce a great deal of meat Had fun though...

To check to see if the crab is soft - Press on the bottom of the shell in the curved area under the front pincher. Sometimes it is difficult to move the pincher so you can press on the spot. If the shell flexes then the crab is soft. There is a description of this on the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife web site.

Since I started using this method to check my crabs I have ended up with almost no soft crabs.
