Out of work early today and was hoping some one could give me some info on some bank spots to fish either the Clack or Sandy. I am new to the area so directions would help. Thanks.

With the rain we got earlier this week I would think there would be a fair amount of fish in the Oxbow park area on the Sandy about now. Plenty of bank spots to fish in the park, $3 a car to get in............good luck.

Boy that is hard to do in a text message. For the Sandy I would head to Oxbow park. There are a good number of spots to fish all through the park. Some of them take a bit of a hike to get to but are worth it. You can get directions to the park here (http://www.metro-region.org/parks/oxbowpage.html) and here is a map (http://www.metro-region.org/parks/oxbowmap.html) of the park.
There are plunking spots as well as drift fishing and bobber spots throughout the park.
Another place to go fishing is Dodge park which is higher up the river. I found directions Here. (http://www.asrk.com/pages/sandy.html)
If you would like to learn more about fishing the Sandy you might consider checking out the Sandy chapter of northwest steelheaders at our web site. (http://www.sandysteelheaders.org) and at our next meeting which is coming up this coming Wednesday night at 7:30 at Glen Otto park on the Sandy.
