Just wanted to let everyone know that we are currently having a sale on our cured eggs. Our eggs, which are regularly $12 per pound, are on sale for $10 per pound. We sell them in 2 lb. quart jars so that is a $4 savings off of our regular price per jar. A case of 12 jars or 24 lbs. is on sale for $200. That averages to $8.33 per pound! We mail our cured eggs or you can pick them up in Hebo or Albany.

We are also taking preorders for fresh eggs which may arrive as early as the next couple of weeks. Just let us know your name, phone number, and how many pounds you are wanting to purchase.

You may also want to purchase some cure while you are at it so you have it on hand when those eggs arrive and you can cure them as quickly as possible. Our cure sells for $6 per pound and we have two varieties: salmon fishing and steelhead fishing. Each is available in orange or red.

For more details, just email us at Amerman@oregoncoast or call us at 503-392-9468.

Amerman do you live in Hebo?

My father and Uncles were born in cloverdale and went to school in cloverdale. Do you know the Calls or Bones family.

Mo Fish,

We do live in Hebo up on Mt. Hebo Rd. Great area. My wife knows Dean Bones through the schools because she is a teacher. She says he's a great guy.

Thumper & FWF1 -thanks. I'm glad you like our eggs. We are always happy to hear from people who have been successful with them. Word of mouth is definitely our best advertising.

We will start getting fresh eggs within the next week or two. These eggs are fresh, never frozen, just hours out of the fish. If they are not the best fresh eggs you have ever seen for sale anywhere, you can just tell me you don't want them and walk away with no obligations to buy. These eggs are all from Oregon hatcheries so by buying these eggs, you are helping the ODFW raise funds instead of buying them from a gillnetter. Email us or call us to place your preorder soon! If you have already preordered, you should here from us in the next few days. We can send our cured eggs anywere in the U.S.

Thanks.

I learned something from Ramstrong, whose eggs outfished everything I had for silvers. Just take a bunch of Amerman eggs and add a wee spot of his special juice and no fish can resist.

Scott, I've always had good results with your eggs over the past couple of years. I like the jars now too.

I love curing my own eggs but there are time's when you forget them at home graemlins/stupid.gif or run low. Something about the aroma that just gives me a woody ... :hoboy: did I say woody, I meant good feeling...no...wait... how about happy  You know what I mean.

I noticed you said you buy surplus eggs from the hatcheries. Can anyone buy these eggs?

Jack

What was that special juice called again?

DFboy Thanks I guess. Woody!!! yes you said that. I have had people ask me upon seeing 500 pounds of fresh eggs if they could strip down and role around in them.

Rags
If anyone could by the eggs from the hatchery it would kind of suck for me. No need for me then. The truth is anyone can do it all you need is:
1. a fish biat dealers license.
2. $1,000,000 in commercial General liability insurance.
3. Auto Liability insurance ( I guess this is for the 50 yard of there property you drive on).
4. Workers compentions insurance.
5. Carry the state of Oregon as additional insured .
6. a 10% bid security.
7. A performance bond.
8. then you have be prepared for every egg that comes from the hatchery. A couple years ago I bid on a hatchery that said it would have 50 pounds and was forced to take over 6000 from that 50 pound bid. I expect to get about 10 - 15 thousand pounds this year from my two Hatcheries, but I gues it could be twice that.
9. The you just have to be the highest bidder.

So ya I guess anyone can do it.

 Where in the world would you keep 6000 pounds of roe??? In all your coolers... the sinks... the bathtub... bed of the pickup....

Kinda' like an Oregon version of Jeff Foxworthy's Red Neck routine, huh?

"You might be an egg dealer if..."

I'd bet that was a sight!

I'm really looking forward to trying your eggs, Scott. Thanks so much!

For those of you looking to try different eggs, these are the ones to try. Salmon dig 'em , and the steelies like the salmon eggs as well.

My fish count with these eggs seems to grow on every trip. Today a 9 # summer was the victim. Tomorrow maybe a nook or two. Maybe another summer or two, with these salmon eggs, who knows.

Great product Scott & Co. I'm setting up my next order now
