I am headed to Diamond Lake in two weeks. I have never fished this area as it is a long drive from Molalla and I have heard the tui chub are still going strong. However, we have several friends going and we have decided to go with them.

Here are my questions:

Is it worth even bringing my fishing gear?

Is the fishing worth trailering my boat down?

What are the best ways to fish this lake?

Has anyone caught any of the transplanted Williamson River trout?

What about the planted spring chinook?

Once again, I appreciate any help you guys can give!!

What are the transplanted Williamson River trout? Where do they come from? I always heard the Williamson was a native only river.

Tagster,
Here's their web site http://www.diamondlake.net and there is a fishing report under summer recreation/fishing.
