I was on the Channel last weekend around Coon Island and got into a pretty good shad bite around noon (fair Chinook bite between 5 and 7 am). I believe the low tide was right around noon. This weekend the tides are much flatter and just about the opposite from a timing standpoint (high tide is around noon). So will the shad fishing be worth a hoot? I need to take a couple of youngsters and don't want to get their hopes too high or possibly change weekends if the the chances are slim. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
