I will be in Tillamook in the morning, and would like to try some clam digging in the bay, any suggestions?

Steven:
There are cockels and steamer clams on the beach / gravel bar on the north side of the bay just west of the coastguard station (directly below Pirates Cover Restaurant).
There are also large cockles and blue clams on the sand bars out in the bay south and southeast of crab harbor. You need a boat to get there. They are easy to find. The cockles are about three inches under the surface. The blue clams are usually 18" down and show a large hole in the sand.
Good luck
Mark
