Memorial Weekend Warning...99W lane closures in Newberg!!!

I bet there's some Ifisher's heading to the central coast this weekend........

Major road construction in the old-town portion of Newberg!! They've re-routed both directions of traffic into the former Eastbound side of the street through old-town.

Shouldn't be to bad going West, toward the coast, there's 2 lanes open. But, coming back East, there is only ONE LANE....That's right, the Dundee back-up will now be continued all the way through half of Newberg as well!! I expect back-ups approaching INSANITY on Monday.

I would highly reccomend anyone coming back that way from the coast on Monday to avoid this area, go around through Salem on Hwy 22, go north on 47 or to Tillamook on Hwy 6, or just use some of the backroads around Newberg.

As you may already know heading into Newberg from Macminville or into Dundee from Neberg was already bad enough during late afternoon hours during the week and on the weekends. I can only imagine what its going to be like this weekend with a half way decent weather forcasted. I live in dundee so I know all this first hand. So I figure no better solution than to get out of town for the weekend right after work on friday morning about 10:00 and not come back till Wed!!!!!! :wink: Good luck getting throu town this weekend and drive safe everyone!!

Thanks for the tip. We will be heading out Friday morning and returning Tuesday but I would just as soon avoid the area while towing the boat.
