Does anybody have any big fishing plans for the holiday weekend??

I am going to central Oregon and camping on a mountain with no water anywhere near it. Going to drown my springer blues with some elk scouting.

I think I will fish with a nice fellow I met on the river at the falls in OC  He had lots of room in his sled and enjoys casting spinners.

I might try to send "Salvage" back to rock bottom, or go combat fishing at a secret hole on the Will....tte

and YARD WORK of course.

And perhaps Coon Island for some shad.

We are heading to Tillamook tomorrow and am going to crab for Thursday.

The old man has to work the weekend, so we have to do this early. Good thing I forgot it was the Memorial Day Exodus. Now we will have the bay all to ourselves. Hope the Crab show up though. It would be a big bummer to got down and go crabbing and have no one around, not even the crab.
Hope we get enough to feed everyone on the board. graemlins/stupid.gif

Going to spend four days in Rockaway. Plan on doing some surf fishing for surfpearch and some clamming. Good series of tides. Going to come back to town Monday night to drop off the wife and 3 dogs, do some laundry, and then back down all week for springers.

Then I have a few weeks :hoboy: of H.I.Ps ( home improvement projects) to get done before steelheading picks up around St Helens.

Anyone been clamming or heard how it has been in Garibaldi? Any input would be appreciated. Post or email me. Many Thanks.

I'm headed up the Quartzville arm of Green Peter to do some camping with my neighbor. I got rid of the kids so I'll be able to do some serious fishing. Although I'm not holding my breath cause I'm hopeless and boatless.

Still debating. Thinking either Astoria for ocean salmon if it's not too rough, sturgeon, crab, and razors, or farther south Newport way for the same if doable, and a definite herring restock. Right now NOAA reports suggest I will be heading south. Any other ifish couples heading down that way?

Does anyone have a HOT ocean salmon report?? I'm tired of the one fish per 50 hours thing. 5 fish per hour sounds a lot better and that's doable on big blue.

Anyone headin to Mt. Hood for some trout, can just put the boat back in the garage. Went up to Timothy, by way of Hyw 26. Everything from Clear Creek, Trillium, Clear lake, Timothy, Ollaie, and all those other lakes along the road ARE ALL STILL SNOWED IN!!!! I had reservations at Timothy and they called and said they would not be open until the 6th of June. When we went up there you could not get into Trillium or Clear Lake, or Timothy. Hopefully next week they MIGHT be open, but with the low snow levels I doubt it.

Working Fri and Mon. Everyone keep it safe, last way I want to meet any of you is while we are getting you out of your wrecked car.

I am taking 6-7 kids fishing for Trout and Kokanee. I am camping at a Washington lake.
No relaxing, just biking, hiking, and canoeing.I got to get in shape so I can swim the Columbia, go rock climbing, or pull in a 18 foot Sturgeon.

Leaving the salmon and steelhead this weekend and trying a little surf perch fishing on the Long Beach Peninsula. First time doing it so I read up on old posts and we'll see what happens. Scott (hot tamale). My buddy Curt will be on the Deschutes below Wickiup this weekend. If you see a silver "River Wild" driftboat, say hey.
