Any Nestucca drift boat reports out there for this weekend? First trip, any info is welcome, can't wait. Thanks, Hawg

Ok fellow fisherpeople... I have contributed 3 times over the last 45 days with very specific fishing updates including locations, times and techniques concerning the Willamette, Columbia and Trask fisheries. I would appreciate some in-kind help! Come on, throw me a bone. (Sure, I’d love some cheese with my whine……..)

Just desperate. First time to the Nestucca area and I'll have my wife and kids with me in the boat!!!! Too, too much pressure.... Maybe I'll just stay home and power wash the roof again......

Thanks, Hawg

Hawgwash-

It may be a little premature for your trip there. Check the water levels, around 5- 5 1/2 should be good.( 503- 261 -9246 then listen to prompts )The Trask may be the better bet, but if your set on the Nestucca, then try Farmer Ck. to Cloverdale. Easy drift, not tough spots, and probably a few steelies around 3 rivers. The drift could me made into a long, long trip, but most would do it twice.I would check for bait restrictions, but I don't think they start for a little while.Plugs, spinners, baits, and jigs should all work if you find fish.

Nestucca Valley Sporting goods should be shuttling. $10 and Ron will have your car at the takeout. He also will have a pretty good thumb on what the lowdown is.

If you need more info, try Marty Peterson, aka Gone Fishin, he is THE MAN for the Nestucca.

Good luck,

Chris

Thanks Chris for the great info. I'll stop and talk to Ron and get the local lowdown.

In return for your good deed you are now officially blessed with excellent fishing karma good for a day of limits at a body of water of your choice!

This is a limited warranty offer of course....
