If you could live anywhere in Oregon, based strictly on the quality of fishing available, where would it be?

Nothing wrong with good ol' Portland. Not to many cities that you can fish downtown. Springers and Fall run on the Big C, and only a couple hours to Tillmook and Bend. I dont think I'll ever move from the Pacific NW

I'd have to say I'd have my primary home in Newport, and a second house in the Bend, La Pine, or Sunriver area.

Of course the second home would come after I won the lottery

I love fishin' the ocean for kings, but I also like my time on the lakes.

Gray's River or maybe the Naselle River area. Best place to live in Oregon is across the big river.

I have to pay Oregon income tax because I work in Oregon but I'll be damned if they get any of my retirement. I'm going to fish both states anyway so its a matter of which one gets the money for my non-res tags.

I would think it would be Tillamook all the way. You have the wilson, trask, kilches, all right there. Tillamook bay for your crab bottom fish and bay salmon. Then the nestucca is right down there and nestucca bay. Also three rivers which comes off the nestucca. Then you got the nehalem river and bay just a short drive. Also the north fork nehalem is a great river, and the salmonberry off the main nehalem is a killer little river. Ok what else do we have the necanicum, miami and tillamook river. To me that seems like a great spot to live right in the center of all that great water. Thats where i would think a great place to live would be.
