Springer are slow getting here. The ones caught so far have been natives ( or missed clipped ).
Stealhead have kept the interest going as 5 to 8 fish are being caught daily ( Bobber and jigs are doing the job although a 12 year old boy caught a nice 12+ lb stealhead buck on an old 6' fiberglass rod, sporting 75 yards of 6 lb mono on a busted 300 Mitchell reel. Not to mention an 1/8th split shot and worms. This was one of his first fishing outtings with dad who I gladly handed my salmon net to after observing his duck taped bent trout net. KEEP THE KIDS LINES IN THE WATER MOMS & DAD.
