It is time we introduced ourselves. We have been following the Ifish postings for about a month and like what we see. We are a retired couple who fish, hunt upland birds and golf year round. We have lived in Southwest Washington for 65 years as our grandfathers settled here in approximately 1900. We ran some of the first drift boats and jet sleds in the area starting in the early 50's and up until the mountain blew in 1980. At that time it ruined our favorite water, the Toutle and Cowlitz Rivers. We gave up fishing with the exception of some trips to the Rogue River and coastal areas of Alaska and Canada. We recently purchased a new 17' Arima Sea Chaser powered with a 100 HP Yamaha with a 8 HP kicker. It is a great rig for the Columbia where we plan to do most of our fishing. We have only fished a couple of days but have put first blood in the boat with a 20 lb. Springer. Always happy to hear from any of you.
