Lost DB on Clack

After asking around for a few days, I found out what all the rescue/ folks were doing the first of last week. A new driftboat went down on the upper ramp of McK. Seems the person was in the rollers, and accidently dropped his anchor, and had a knot at the end of his rope. OOPS Sure hope we didn't loose anybody. Can always buy another boat. This is just a simple reminder as too how fast S... can happen. It can happen to ANYONE at anytime. Safety is rule #1.

Hey JP, was that on Wed.? We ran that stretch on a quickie and saw a beautifil red Land Rover with a brand new trailer in the lot when we ran our shuttle. Wonder if that was his???
Simple rule to avoid that is too tie off your anchor or better yet, throw it in the back of the boat.
I dropped mine ONCE in the rollers at Hole in the Wall on the Dechutes, managed to save it though. That's the last time I ever forgot to tie mine off. Scary stuff.

Hmmm..seems I saw a post a week or two ago with someone saying to tie a knot in the end of their anchor rope. Hope they read this!!
