If you have been following my transom saga you know I have been trying to avoid the cut. Well almost got it extended to 30 inches.
30 inch transom
motor needs to be 22 in on transom
tilt and trim unit gives another 3 inches down
bay kit would give the needed 5 inches.
They make the kit, but its at least a month out before they restock. Apparently they don't have much demand for them. The lady also said the 4 weeks could easily be 8 weeks. :depressed:
I ended up buying a pair of used outboards with longshafts from a outboard repair guy.
Need a kit that fits the 65 hp Merc serial #3456151 The kit number is a 408. If you have a lead on one of these...let me know. Thanks
