Slow Roll

I don't know if they are "spankin' em" but when I went over the Ross Island bridge this morning at 6:30 there were about 20 boats up by the Sellwood.
At 9:30 when I went over the Ross again there were upwards of 30 or so.
Is everyone fishing but me? graemlins/berry.gif
Oh, and ****** too.
That's it, I'm outta here at 3 and going to Meldrum Bar.

Same here, I sit overlooking the Portland Harbor, there is currently quite a fleet of boats fishing the swan Is. area. They must be catching, I haven't seen this many boats out all season.

I wouldn't say spanking them, but there were a couple flurries of fish being caught. Luckily one of them was mine. Still slower than it usually is this time of year during normal water flows though.

I stopped at the Willamette Park Boat ramp at 2pm today and talked to several boats taking out. Not that many fish caught. 2 for about 7 boats. One was a nate. I like a hot report as good as anybody so I had to check it out for myself on my lunch hour...I didn't see any nets flying...It is only one spot and results vary all over the place. So don't feel too bad Rick, they aren't just jumping in the boats. I know it was easier for me to go back to work after that.

Sat at Clackamas park and during lunch and watched 5 be caught. 3 of the 5 were released. Looked like the action was picking up.

10:30am to 1:30pm at Meldrum today. Saw about 6 fish total from boats and the bank during that time. When I got there I had to wait for a log to float on by before I casted. Before I could get my cast off the guy right next to me gets into a fish and loses it on that log floating by. At that point I thought I had the right spot. No more bites to report. Skunked again. :depressed: Lots of fish are starting to show now  I hope to get out everyday this week even if its for just a few hours before work. Good luck fishing!

A reliable source currently on the river says "they are spanking" fish at Oregon City.
Here I sit looking out the work window.

The Swan Island area was good but slowed way down yesterday. We got two fish in the am but nothing the rest of the day. Monday was good in this area. We got our limit in about 3 hours.

Fished OC this morning from 5:30 to 7:45 with 2 others. Had to have been close to 100 boats within site of the 205 bridge :depressed: :depressed: We saw 2 fish on and that was it. :depressed: :depressed:
We went 0 for 0. I am back in my groove. I will be hitting it every day before work for a while.

I did sleep in   does it really make a difference for me  the catching was the same. I was still trying to catch up on sleep from my trip to Bethel, the red eye home was only delayed for 3 hours  which almost made it the morning flight. I think I lost an entire nights sleep somewhere, and I aint no spring chicken any more as it puts the hurt on me to miss that much sleep.

Thanks ****** :hoboy: :hoboy:
That second rounder fisherman  you posted was with me this morning and I heard about the slaying yesterday, I slowed down his run a little by putting him in the USS NoNookie today.
I can tell you exactly where those photos were taken with the background in the photo.

Hey...I could only handle about an hour of Oregon City....so I decided to get "outta there".
Guys...(and gals) The fish have been on the bite at the top of the incoming and the first hour or two of the outgoing tide. We're hooking fish out in the deeper water..say more than 40 feet fishing at about 16-20 feet with prawns and green tip rainbow blades, and trolling just fast enough to work your spinner blade.
Don't know where we're going tomorrow, til I do my homework.
See ya out there.
