Hey all, I just joined. I am supposed to intro myself:
I was born in Alaska and have been hooked on fishing for almost 40 years. It only caused one divorce so far but we had a real strong bond.
I only have 2 boats in the driveway but I believe in quality, not quantity.
Ocean is my real love but also love warm water and cold water fishing or any temperature in between. Favorites are Pacific, Snake, Owyhee, Columbia, Port Hardy, Depoe Bay, Westport, Neah Bay, actually all parts where there is water.
Anyway I better stop here. I am having a hard time containing myself cause Halibut opens next week. Anybody from the Olympia Area?
Greetings to all fellow fishermen!!!
OOO..EEEE, you are gonna have fun here! Welcome to Ifish! Now, tell us a fish tale!

A fish tale, okay. Here is a cut and paste from an email that went to my fishing buddies on April 3rd:
-------------------------------
I just got back from the hospital. Here is what happened today:
I went back to the 43 hole. Was real sleepy so I decided to lay down and keep one eye in the rod. Well, the rod doubled over and I lunged out of the cabin but since I was half asleep, I drove my head into an overhead bracket real hard. Actually, all the way to the skull.
I made it to the rod and tried to fight the fish, blood raining out of my head. The boat right next to me just watched in amazement. I lost the fish.
8 staples in my head and no fish. One boat trolling herring boated 3. I saw a few others landed.
-------------------------------
Ya, hi Burliest. Just up the road a bit in Lakewood. Maybe we will stumble across each other sometime.

Hey Gizmo, does that remind you of anyone?
Welcome, Burliest, love your tag and duck next time.
If you like the salt check out Salty dogs and get on the PacNw email group. We (somebody in the group) fish almost every weekend in the big blue lake.

Hi Burliest;
Well there are some of us even a little bit further north, spanaway is not too far from you and Jeffhead's home.
Always looking for some one around my age that likes to get out, if not just to catch but to fish.
We have all had our little head banged along the way. I quess that is why we want to spend so much time on the water and not with the lovely misse's at home"doing honey dues".
Give me a shout if you need someone to tag along, i can help with gas, food or what ever. Just need to plan ahead so i can get off or away without upsetting the cart.
