I was just sitting here, before getting ready to go to The Steelheaders banquet... looking out at the sunshine and the river.
As I got up this morning, I stared at that river, telling myself, "NO! I can't fish in it!" Man, it's beautiful and steelie looking today!
Anyway, just sitting here thinking, "What a great place to live! On the coast!"
Clams at Tillamook Bay, Salmon, Silvers, cutts, steelies.... 1.5 hours down the road to get razors! (mmmmm had them last night!)
Yesterday Bill and I went to Del Ray to get a limit. It wasn't as easy yesterday as in the recent past. Had to work for them. They were deep, smaller and not showing as well. Took us an hour to get our limit.
But... back to the great surroundings... 2 hours to Portland for the Willamette springers, 2 hours to the lower Columbia for Springers, or Fall chinook and silvers... Right here on 5 streams for Steelhead, and fall chinook!
But if you want to stay here, you can search out clams here, go to the beach for a walk, surf cast, jetty fish, hunt for ducks in tidal water in the early winter, trout fish in the ponds and lakes, bass fish in the lakes.
It's awesome!
I guess that's why I started this internet page.
"Fishing the Coast!"
Yip!
Just had to blurt it out.
It's SUCH a gorgeous day!
