Can't help you on the used equipment site, but I sure would like to hear from someone who might know of such a store. I really don't think there is such a place, at least in the Portland Metro area.

Try Olie Damon(SP) downtown. The last time I was there for reel repair, they had some used stuff.

OLIES ON GRAND DOES. ALSO CHECK YOUR LOCAL PAWN SHOPS. I'VE SEEN SOME GOOD GEAR IN THESE. UNFORTUNATLY THEY PROBABLY BELONGED TO SOME HARD WORKING FISHERMAN AND WERE PAWNED BY SOME CRACK HEAD SCUMBAG THAT STOLE EM. :mad: :mad:

This is a little north of you, but in the town of kalama, there is a little store that has some used fishing rods and a few reels. sorry i don't remeber the name. also, i might add it's been a year and a half since is was in there, so i'm not sure if he's still there or not. but, may be worth a try. :smile:

The store in Kalama is owned by Mark Dennis and he sells rebuilt Lamiglas rods. Sometimes you can find a really good deal on decent rods. I'm not sure about reels or anything else. He is usually opened on Friday and Saturday, but he will open if you call first (360-673-1371). The address is 210 1st Street North Kalama WA.

Stores. That's tough. Hunt your local ebay. I'm a collector too. Not much, but I pick up stuff from there every once in awhile.

i heard the ole boy was ill and might have sold out but i bought a few fine used poles and reels at ed's bait in ilwaco. they were priced right and in good shape.

i BELIEVE THE PLACE IS CALLED COLUMBIA MARINE...IT IS LOCATED OUT BY THE RED LION INN NEAR JANTZEN BEACH ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE I-5. FOLLOW THE ROAD DOWN TOWARDS THE MARINA IT WILL BE JUST OFF ON THE LEFTSIDE. THEY HAVE ALOT OF JUNK...HOWEVER, THEY HAVE ALOT OF OLD NEAT STUFF. REELS, POLES AND NAUTICAL THINGS....

Two blocks south of ole's is a store called Next Advaenture. Most of it is used camping and sporting goods, however they do have some fishing equipment. Most of it is crap, however I did buy a pair of danner wading boots there in great shape for $25..Hit and miss, but worth checking out.
