Anyone know of any good fly fish instruction in the portland area? Or a really good book to get me started?
Thanks

Here is another vote for Kaufmanns...I took their fly school two summers ago...class is around $100.00 and includes a day at the Wilderness Lakes in Canby...

My buddy said that he didn't need lessons and could teach himself...probably should have learned the right way...although I really enjoy the comedy as he whip-snaps off his flys or catches trees or catches grass or...

You could call River City fly shop as well for beginner info...they are in Beaverton (little closer maybe).
