Does anyone fish for flounder?

I saw someone mention they caught a flounder and it got me thinking.
Years ago, we used to catch quite a few in the river above Newport, on mud shrimp I think. Anyone doing that anymore and are there places in Tillamook or around Astoria where it can be done? It was great kid stuff and very tasty eating as I remember.

Use to catch lots of good size ones at Fort Stevens on the beach,using sand shrimp. Just go to the last parking lot and fish on the incoming tide.
