Hy,,
Fished East of Puget Island today,,
Caught a Halibut,,Flounder,,Sand Daub,,
I am just guessing,,it was 8 to 10" long
looked like a Halibut to me ,,LOL,,
I have caught Flounders in salt before,,but not in fresh water,,4 the lack of knowing I am
calling it a STEPPED-on-TROUT,,

what was it????

That would be a flounder. They are found in fresh water up to Bonneville Dam in the Columbia and there was a large population of them behind Ross Island in downtown Portland. I know, I caught a bunch of them.

Those are young starry flounder,they go all the way up to Meldrum Bar on the Willamette. and I have seen them just below Bonneville Dam

but she is still kind of mad,,her favorite
eating fish is HALIBUT,,,&,,I did not bring it home 4 her to eat,,,LOL,,,poor BLONDIE,,
all she has is chinookie 4 dinner,,,

STGRule: How big do they get? Do they stay in fresh water? And what kind of population are you talking about? I guess that all I can do is ask questions huh?
