Fished Reed again same as yesterday a few more boats but only saw 3 fish caught by 12:00,so we went in early so we could harass our wifes
I talked to the fish checker at the launch when we got back. She checked 21 boats and NO FISH !!!
to be had.She made the statement that we better hope it picks up real soon.I guess by that they really are thinking about shuting it down ???
Wonder why they won't give us an extension they gave the gillnetters 3 :depressed: :depressed: .But then we never do get one,we'er the ones to take the cut every time.
That just isn't right.

I really don't honestly know right now,one day Bonniville is good the next few days its as bad as everywhere else,I haven't heard any reports from Frechmans Bar or Kalama in awhile.Last I did here they were both slow. Sorry !The river was really cooking today they must be dumping a ton of water right now

Been tough up this way this year, We fished Mon. through wed and only managed one fish. I was a nice guy and did hand off the only keeper we got to a buddy who had never caught a salmon. We have been fishing above 205 and haven't seen more than just a couple caught each day. We got spoiled last year with all the multiple fish days. Going to start experimenting with dif. water depths and try and get inside away from some of the heavier current. I am off the water till Tues. then I will be out through Fri.. So hopefully things will change.

Anyone taken the water temp lately?

Maybe the fish checker was referring to the fact that the fish and game girls are getting antsy about the fish counts. Read in today's Columbian that, while it is still early, officials are beginning to wonder whether or not the numbers of fish predicted may show.

Said that the season will probably continue 'til May 15th because we will not have caught the sportfish quota.

Of course, the commercials caught thier percentage back in March and February based on quite possibly non-existent fish! graemlins/berry.gif graemlins/berry.gif graemlins/eek13.gif  graemlins/eek13.gif  graemlins/eek13.gif
