Chat transcript published on board or no?

Should the Wednesday night chat transcript be posted on the board?

Long ago, someone mentioned that it would be neat if we could print the chat transcript on the board, for people who couldn't be there.
We can do this now!
But--- I think that it wouldn't be a very good idea. I feel that people feel more free to say things in a limited group, and it would stifle conversation if you knew that what they say can and will be used against them in a river of their choice. :smile:
Let me know what YOU think here, and I'll do whatever you think. I think I'll do a poll.
However, this chat transcript could be used for times when we might, as a community, need to make some decisions. We could have meetings on chat, and then share our ideas here on the bb.
Of course, Ifish has access to IP addresses, and these would be stripped out.
Another problem is people coming on with false monikers and ruining it.
Neato news! UBB is thinking of adding a chat feature, where you have to be logged in at ifish in order to use it.
Man, would that be cool!
So, let me know, chat transcripts in public, or no?

I don't think everyone would want all of the chat log on the board. However, it might be nice to have pertinent information that affects a wide audience be available (of course that might be too labor intensive to sort, strip, etc)....if chat were posted to the board I think all names/monikers should be stripped off to protect the innocent (hearing the theme to Dragnet)
