For those of us who must connect with the outside world while fishing, lets start a list of rivers that have good cell serive. For AT&T there is:
Sandy River at Revenue bridge: Good
Sandy River at Dodge: Poor to none
Sandy at Oxbow: Fair
Sandy below Dabney: Good
Nehalem down from Roy's: Good
Nehalem from Spruce Run to Roys: None
Nehalem from Spruce Run to Hwy 26: Good
Clackamas from Estacada to the mouth: Good
Mollala from Hwy 211 to the mouth: Good
Upper Mollala: In and Out of service
E. Fk. Lewis at Daybreak Park: Barely service
E. Fk. Lewis above Lewisville: Very poor but pockets of service.
Tillamook Bay: Good

I'd like to know about the Columbia at Bonneville and some of the Tillamook rivers. Anybody?

On the Columbia, I would guess Sprint PCS since they primarily cover major cities and the interstate system.
The downside is that Sprint sucks.

Cellular One has a tri-state plan (ID, OR, WA) that's supposed to be pretty good, but I don't know for sure.

Oxbow on ATT??? I can't get nothin' til I get past the boat deadline.
A few spots below Dodge are good, Cedar Cr. excellent, you can see a tower up on Bluff Road.
Clack is all good, very handy.
I get decent coverage on some very exact spots on the Deschutes, even got out in a little spot near Whitehorse last Summer but I think I got an AM skip as it was late at night.
My phone is posessed though, interferes with my radio, CB and computer but it does get coverage in some weird places. Probably helped it by a few dunkings in the river........

Wilson fine, trask spotty as you go up
All tidewater is good
Bonneville required A/B channed on my old phone, new digital switches fine

Gotta love cell phones, added about 30 - 40 fishing days a year for me, have to take time out to do some work now and again, but small price to pay..........
