I have recieved a letter back from Representative David Wu About Mitchell act funding.
I Goes something like this....
"Thank you for contacting me to express your suport for full Mitchell act funding for hatcheries. I appreciate hearing from you.
Like you, I enjoy fishing for salmon raised in the hatcheries along the Columbia River. I believe full funding is needed in order to insure the necessary numbers and adequate marking of hatchery raised stock to permit full harverst of hatchery raised stock and to aviod confusion with endangered non-hatchery stocks.
I have met with members of the Northwest Sportsfishing Industry Association and admired their efforts to educate Members of Congress and the public on the value of Mitchell Act hatcheries and the economic benefits to communities and bisinesses in the Northwest.

Just though I would share. It is easy to say it is important i guess we will see if they do something about it.
