Howdy,
I was remembering the great taste of Heart Cockles from the Puget Sound. Does anyone know if there's a good place to dig up a batch here in Oregon?

Netarts Bay,
There's a book called clam digging and crabbing in Oregon that you could pick up at most GI Joes and/or Fisherman's outdoor marine. It shows just about every type and where to dig of clams and the same for crab.

Tell us how you clean and cook them that makes them taste good off the tailgate of the truck?

Many thanks again!
I'll grab the book. If I don't limit out in Girabaldi, I'll head for waldport. Nothing like spending a week looking forward to a meal cooked off the tailgate of the truck!
