the last i heard some bean counter back in washington dc had decided to save money by not dredging any port with a natural depth of less than 14 feet. this means bandon,brookings and gold beach for sure.
mean while in the oregonian there is a on going column about the 188 million to be spent to dredge the columbia. seems like both ore and wash will put up 27.7 million each to get the feds to pay the rest.
my point is it costs a lot less than a million to do all the small ports on the oregon coast, so who is making all these decisions?
