Was thinking about trying it this weekend, anyone been out lately? Last weekend seemed dead. Any help would be appreciated

Was out last weekend, if you want big fish the fishery seemed to be good. I only know that through stories. Was successful in the Willamette between the mouth and the Mult. channel. Not a lot of fish but high % of keepers.

The last couple of trips around the Portland area have been SLOW. We did manage a couple of keepers last week but we only put ten fish or so to the boat all day. A couple of days ago we only put 5 fish in the boat for half a day fishing. I would hit the gorge. There are tons of smelt in the system and the sturgies are full. Good luck...

might try the Gorge Area.. Pretty slow St Hellens to Kalama..
