I work in a rather tall building just south of the west end of Government Island. Today I saw about 1000 seagulls diving into the river from the west end of the island west for about a mile in a narrow band. They then sat on the water in the same area for most of the day, occasionally rising in groups and diving back into the water.
Wonder what's causing all that?
