Herring in the bay

The latest reports that I have heard indicate that the major spawning concentrations have spawned and left the bay. Thee may be some smaller schools around but usually scattered. Fishing has been poor and will be hit and miss at least for now.

I called Harry's Bait in Newport this afternoon , the guy there said no new schools of herring have arrived. He said additional schools are likely to enter the bay in March. I hope everyone will post their efforts. I'm ready to drive down in a day's notice...
