All right, I worked a job where we were required to tie a bowline, on a bite, behind a tree etc.. Hey, I did it for 25 years and I was able to do all (most) that was required. I may be an old f***, but I can still chew gum and walk at the same time. NOW THEN, can you imagine my shock when I purchaced a hoppity hop with a rope, float, anchor etc. and saw some strange rope configuration around the chainy end of this device? I decided the rope needed a sleve (what ever you call the thing a ma jig) that protects the rope from the chain. I don't have a clue where fishermans came up with this rope end twist. I tried to figure out which way the rabbit was running when he came out of his hole and went behind the tree, but for the life of me I can't figure out why they attempted to use up so much rope. Does any one have advice on which knot I should use to mount the pull thing to the 35 lb. hold thing? I will be sure I have a good knife to free myself if necessary.
