Local Hooker you will never find a better bunch of guy's. They are top notch mechanics that go to seminars to keep up to date on the latest techniques every year. I have had nothing but good luck with them. The issues that I have seen and heard about have always dealt with time it takes for repairs. It seems that people bring thier boats in during the fishing season and wants a new engine put in overnight. These things take time.
I would recommend Greg and his boys over any other marine service in the area. Tell him that Dan Neal sent you and to give you a good deal. After all as much as I have spent there they now rollout the red carpet when they see me coming.
One time that stands out to me was when my father was out from Texas i got some tough line around my outdrive andin my prop and wound up blowing a seal that allowed all the oil to run out of the outdrive. You guessed it trashed the outdrive. They were good enough to replace it with one that they had sitting there that they had rebuilt for a very nominal fee and they did it right away for me so that my dads trip wasn't wasted. This is the kind of service that I got from them. So I give them real close to five stars. They sometimes seem to be a little expensive on some things but overall I think that is what the industry does.
