My aunt gave me a whole bunch of hoochies and I was wondering if they would work on springers. She trolled them for years in the Umpqua for silvers and fall nooks with great sucess.
They don't work worth shizmt, send them all to me!!!!!!
I like em, but I aint no springer fisherman. Just try it, might catch at least one.

We call them Hoochie Mamas! And I laughed so hard when I first saw them.
I said, you gotta be kidding!
But my customers started asking for them, now I sell them for like 7.00 each! Yikes!
I was told they do better out in the ocean.
I've never tried them, but would like to if I ever stopped getting sick out at sea.
I have a few left and will be getting more made up soon.

For the last two years Ive used hootchies in the ocean at Ilwaco and couldnt keep the fish off. We used them fishing buoy 10 and also caught fish. On the east side of Vanvouver Is. they are one of, if not the most popular lure used. They are mostly trolled behind Hot Spot flashers with downriggers. The hootchy we used most last Augest was an Army Truck. In three mornings of fishing with 4 rods we landed 4 fish in the 25lb. class and untold numbers of Coho. This is one reason i was wondering about trolling buoy 10 for springers. I feel like i could catch some with hootchies if you can fish the buoy 10 zone in April.
