Is there somewhere a guy can buy bricks of lead? We've always salvaged roofing tear off and tire weights. That is so messy and time consuming.

I need a few hundred lbs to make bottom fish jigs and 8 oz cannonballs.

Thanking you in advance.

Check with a local shooting range. Most sell excavated Slugs from the range. My father in law bought a 55 gal barrel of it for next to nothing. You will want to wash the dirt off in small batches and let it dry. A bit of work, but cheap none the less!

Your local les schwabs sell bags of tire weights for cheap. As long as you dry them you are good to roll. We get them all the time for casting decoy weights.

Pilar, there is a place on Columbia Blvd. that sells lead by the pound. They should be in the yellow pages under metal salvage yards.Bought a lot from there last year for muzzleloading, they had the real soft stuff, just perfect for what I needed at .50 a pound.
