Can anyone tell me where there are some public access spots on the lower clackamas where I can fish for Spring Chinook. Thank you.

Not too many but there's High Rocks in Gladstone and up at River Mill Dam, those are the most popular two.

There are only a few other public access spots but they are better for steelhead.

Try these, bowling alley, coffee hole, high rocks, black top, pump house, old railroad bridge. I've caught springers in all of these places. All are good bobber holes. graemlins/idea.gif

Thank you very much, I have only caught one spring chinook before and this year I have hopes to catch some more only this time on my own. Being a single woman, I feel that I have to be careful where I fish. Wish me luck. WT

Whitney i would go with someone if i was you. I am a single white 19 year old male..lol..just kiding. Last year i had really good luck on the sandy. The water is usaly high but you change what you are fishing with and nail them. Springers are so much fun. Good luck,

Jeremy,
